ALL students will properly greet HBTS staff and teachers before and after every class.
While present at HBTS cell phones will be kept on silent, off bluetooth, put away in dance bags. If an emergency should occur, the student must inform the teacher or staff member who will determine if a parent or emergency service should be contacted. Otherwise, students must not engage with outside parents, friends, etc ... during class and rehearsal times on their phones or other devices.
Students will abide by the HBTS dress code and come prepared for their dance class with their proper uniform, tights and shoes. Girls will have their hair in a neat classical or low bun -- boys will have neat haircuts, with bangs away from their eyes. Students may wear small post earrings if they wish. NO LARGE HOOPS, BRACELETS, OR NECKLACES! Leave jewelry at home! Students can wear ballet sweaters to class, but NO T-SHIRTS, LEG WARMERS, SWEATS, OR PAJAMAS.
Students will come to all their required classes. If you know you will be away, fall sick, or have any other reasons why you cannot attend class, please inform Miss Sara in advance so that a makeup can be arranged.
Pointe Students: A pointe student will attend their scheduled classes in order to wear pointe shoes in pointe class. If classes are missed the week before or the current week, pointe class will be done in flat ballet slippers. Miss Sara can ask a dancer to remove their pointe shoes if she feels it is a safety, attendance, or any other issue.
Students will be prompt for all classes and rehearsals. If a student is late, they must remain outside of the classroom until the teacher invites them in.
Students will bring ONLY their positive attitude to each class, rehearsal, and performance and work vigorously to improve their dancing during every opportunity at HBTS. NO negative attitudes will be tolerated at HBTS!
Students will support, encourage, and show respect to their fellow dancers in all classes, rehearsals and performances.
